Got a new (to me) C4 with the stock radio working perfectly. Score! Only issue I'm having, is that the radio's clock runs slowly. What I mean by that, is that it takes longer than one minute to tick up a minute. I timed it, it's close to 1 minute 40 seconds of real time per minute on the clock.
Anyone heard of this? It's a weird issue, I'm sure there's something worn out, but I'm hoping there's an easy fix.

You used a stop-watch and started the timer when the minute changed on the radio display? Does a 30/60 minute timer confirm what you suspect?
If you did a check using the minute displayed when you visually first looked at the clock then to the next "minute" it would be less than 60 seconds but the following minute would be 60 seconds.
** A few minutes a month might be the norm I'd think. I've never checked one but I don't recall having issues through the years either.

No, it's quite extreme. I did use a stopwatch to check but in an hour it only gains about 35 minutes. It is definitely not keeping time correctly, or even CLOSE to correctly.
I mean, it's not a huge deal in the grand scheme of a car, but it's mildly annoying for someone as OCD as me.
I sure do not know. Is it the same speed if the car is running or off? I know it does not show when off, but if off for say 1 hour has it lost the same amount of time as if running for 1 hour? I guess you could call Batee and see if they have a fix. Dan
I have had clocks run a little fast or slow (~1-2 minutes a month), but never anything close to this. Keep us posted on what you find, I will be interested to hear the outcome.

I cannot find a schematic for these radios, but think of that vintage they had a crystal oscillator to keep time. If so, it is very strange to be off by that amount unless the crystal is shot and it is free running.

This is what my research is leading me to believe as well
I actually have a donor radio that cosmetically looks terrible but to my knowledge has all the internals intact. I may be able to swap out the clock components, although I'm a little hesitant to tear into the nice one.
