I think you're smoking crack if you like those more, but you can probably just ask anyone that has pulled a bunch off of their car. I personally have about 15 strewn about my garage but most of them are mangled from removal.
SOrry I have no info, I just can't believe you prefer them.
The spring type clamps are much better to use, you can always be sure the correct tension is on the hose. the dealer is the only place I know to get them.

Absolutely correct. Got mine at the dealer too. You can buy a tool which makes R&R springclamps a breeze. The way kill a hose in a hurry is to use a screw clamp and over tighten it and watch to clamp eat into your hose.
Whoever invented those hard-to-take-off little bits of evil should be shot. Ever try to get one off that had the little tabs rotated to an inacessible area?

They make screw type clamps where the band isn't threaded... The bolt threads into a square nut. Although I can't tell you who makes em off the top of my head. Those spring claps SUCK! Need a small third-world militia force to remove them.
The band clamps that don't cut into the hose can be ordered from McMaster-Carr.it an industrial supply house , there phone is 908-329-3200 they don't list a website.good luck Jim.
OH BTW....... when we throw those spring clamps around make sure we don't drive over them....... ever try to remove one even with the proper tool that has already been mangled by someone else?. :seeya
McMaster- Carr has all sorts of clamps. Worm gear clamps that don't chew up the hose, worm gear with springs, and, the type I was looking for, spring hose clamps (PN 7329K11).
