Want to level my C4 .bought a 1""drop bolt kit .thought it would be simple .I installed the new bolts and bushings the car sat up higher in rear then it was .so I decided to put the stock parts back in .the car is still higher them it was even with stock bolts back in.what could be holding it up?
Yeah that did help to drive it .I'm back to where I was .still want to level car.wonder if I reinstalled lowering kit car would settle down to where I'm wanting it to be.

From what you have said I think it would. If I understood your original post, you ended up at stock height after installing the kit. If you had not driven it at that point you had already achieved a drop it just wasn't showing.
What is happening is, When the car is on jack stands the transverse spring pushes the wheels down. When the car is lowered the car is sitting on the outside edge of the tire (tires are slightly inboard of where they should be) . The tires just can't slide back to where they should be. As soon as you drive the car it allows the wheels to work back outwards and settle the car.
