Last 2 days when I park the car, coolant just pours out of the bottom. I'm not sure where It's coming from, perhaps I can take some pics - the water pump maybe? Anyway, is there any way I can repair this inexpensively?
I'm pretty sure I have the oil cooler option - does that mean anything? I'll try to determine the location of the leak - what is the best way to do that? Just get up under there and see?
With the oil cooler option there is a small hose comming through a lower right side bracket that can rub on the bracket and crack.
The best way to isolate the leak is to run the engine and look for the source. It may be necessary to first wipe excessive coolant from metal parts so you can isolate the source.
It wasn't stupid to post......... You wanted to know possible sources of the leak. all the above mentioned places could be right. I would have to vote for getting under it.......... is it in the front or back of the engine?...... I have seen water pumps leak and dribble down the lower hose to the rad and make it look like the rad were leaking. The hose under the car for the oil cooler is a definate possibility but ya really need to get under it to see..... :seeya
