Default 3/8th Stud RR

Whats up,

I have a set of Comp Pro Mag Roller Rockers 1.6 S/A, they are 3/8 stud, can I still use them? Bunch of people have told me to use the 7/16 but I already have 3/8s, I plan on running some .550 lift double coil LT4 Valve springs, I may run those springs if I decide to go with a CC305 cam, but latley i have been thinking about going with a small solid roller.

For high reving and lots of valve train stress the 7/16" are the ticket.

Unless you are running sustained high rpm, I don't think an upgrade to 7/16 is worth it especially since you already have them.

Just my opinion...

If you have them I would just use the 3/8. That's what I did and have had no problems.

I ran Crane Gold 1.6rr 3/8" stud in my 396 with the CC305 cam without issues. Engine had about 7k miles on it with them before I converted to 7/16" studs for a solid roller. I would suggest sticking with what you have and stay with a hydraulic roller cam.
