Check for a ruptured fuel pulsator in the tank. This was my issue on my 85 that could not hold pressure.

I also had leaking injectors, but the pulsator was the main culiprit. Cheap and easy fix - replace it with a section of submersible fuel hose.

I didn't have time to troubleshoot today. However, I did confirm the electric fan kicks in at 225..and surprisingly after shutting the car down and waiting about 30 seconds it started on the 1st attempt after 3 full cranks. Not sure why it takes 5 attempts to start while cold but only 1 while hot, unless, since the fuel vaporizes faster? It does hold 40 psi fuel pressure while running and the fuel pressure does go up (also while running) if I disconnect the vacuum line to the FPR. "Drove" it today for all of 500 feet LOL. It looks amazing. New brake lines are working without leaks, new LCD cluster looks great. Fixed the headlight motors in fact now everything works as designed. Couldn't be happier with this car ( Added to my small collection) That 500 feet is the most this car has been driven in my guess 5 years based on what the 1st owners son told me.

Sounds normal.

Wouldn't the fuel already be atomized because it is coming out as a fine mist just before the valves?

Default Its fixed !

Wow that was easy (and lucky) the connector to the ECM temp sensor was disconnected LOL. and it looks like its been that way for years. It started run up after 2 full cranks of the motor. This and the broken brake lines would explain why it sat in the 1st owner garage for years. It was very hard to start and it needed 4 lines that connected to the ABS repaired. ( that was a PITA job). Thanks for all the help...
