Default Power antenna - Next Project - Any Tips?

Next project on my 87 is a new power window antenna (mine has been stuck in up position since I bought it), haven't tested motor yet but thinking I need the whole kit. Looked at it earlier and the wires are totally disconnected so some one already jimmied with it. Any recommendations on going OEM or has anyone here had any GOOD experiences using an aftermarket? I know most of you are going to say OEM and I'll probably agree but just would like to save $$$ if there are any quality aftermarkets or universals that will work just as well.

Thanks!

problem is an aftermarket will look after market. The part number you need is 22143461 and very hard to find
search in the parts section

Good possibility they disconnected it because the antenna gear was stripped and kept running. A rebuild kit is available, it's a little work but you can take it apart and fix it. I was able to fix mine on my 88.

I got mine from RockAuto, AC DELCO part number 10067977, 166.79 plus shipping. It looks fine, you can't tell it isn't stock. The only issue I have now is that it doesn't seem to get the reception as good as my old antenna.
