Code Reader
Can any one recommend a code reader? I have a 1990 Vette, and I don't want to mess around with jumpers. Do they make one that displays the code right on the reader or do they all use the Check Engine Light?

That all depends on how much money you want to spend. A cheap pluging type at Autozone is around $20. Or you can spend around $200 for one that gives you a digital readout.

MidAmerica catalog, page 4-25, shows 5 grounding plugs for $40, or a more sophisticated unit the goes for $80. These were designed by Gordon Killebrew. Both flash codes on the display.

I use the Auto X-ray on my 90. Does a good job for the price. Got mine here
