Your honestly not going to be able to tell a difference between Quietflows and stock......i mean what a decibel or 2 tops? I put new Walker SoundFX mufflers on my car this summer because the pipes were rotting out of the back of the mufflers and I cant tell a difference in sound. After a $15 gift card to Summit I’m at $120 shipped, installed by myself with clamps....good enough for me and a 31 year old car.
As stated above the Walkers and the OEM are damn near identical.
I have your exact set up with the OEM and am VERY happy. I considered Corsa and wussed out due to drone concerns.
Maybe someone else can chime in on Corsa.
No down side with pre cats gone, performance cat and stock mufflers.
The Corsa system does NOT drone. They are widely known to NOT drone, which is one reason they are so expensive. But, they do feature top quality, stainless construction, fit like a glove and again, do not drone. The same cannot be said for some of the other aftermarket systems.
Is there more drone? better note? What are your thoughts? This would be on an 88 without precats and a high flow main cat.
Its either the walkers or I am springing for Corsa.
I have the exact system on my 85 - full walker system with quiet flows. absolutely no drone. sound - louder than stock, but not too loud, and not so loud as to draw too much attention. somewhere in between stock and corsas. total costs (new) - front to rear, less than $600 from summit racing (I found summit to have the best, shipped, price). IMO, nice healthy sound - perfect for the street and my "old man" ears -
this old man agrees. Great sound without being too loud. I had my whole system done by a muffler shop, no pre cats or main cat, straight pipes to mufflers with an x in the middle. All welded together and had them weld on chrome tips. About $900 all in but looks and sounds good.
The PO had already removed the cats so I had no issue with the muffler shop.
best sounding lt system ive heard was no cats, resonaotor delet and stock muffs. No drone but a iittle more vllume.
car in below vid is a stock 85 no nomuffs...loud bu no drone
Even with my 20"Ultrafolows I have drone around 2500. Souds sicks as fk though. More hp you make the better they sound
Update: I got the walker quiet flows on today. I am very happy with them. The drone is gone. Yet it still has a nice rumble to it especially wot. I do want to install some exhaust tips as the walkers are a little plain. However that being said I'm glad I made the switch. The borla is for sale in the for sale section if anyone has interest.

I had a set of cheap mufflers given to me.The drone was unbearable. They gave me a headache when I drove my Vette. No lie.I bought a set of Walker Quiet flows and loved them. One of the best after market mufflers you can buy.
I installed Walker 22396 Quiet-Flow Stainless Steel Muffler
on my 85 several years ago. A little louder and not the same sound. Exhaust tips are smaller too. Never liked them
Hello Cruisinfanatic, I am considering the Walker Quietflows for my 86. Could you elaborate please on the difference between stock and the Walker's? Corvette Central states their mufflers are the exact same internal construction as the stock GM ones, so maybe those are closer in sound. Thank you!
