when you say model specific do you mean coupe ,zr1 .convertible or is there more to it ?

Through the years much has been mentioned regarding 'programmers' - some have mentioned using a different model year but matching it with the same YM control. '90 & '91 share the same control so maybe but I've always seem programmers part #'d differently. SELLERS will claim anything to get the sale!
There's very likely a label on the programmer case. What is that?
An exception to the YM specific is a C60 AC car, the C60 will do '90 thru '96 I believe.
Your location certainly I'd think makes locating parts difficult.
This fellow is in Norway and had issues with a '90 programmer, he I believe may have actually completed his repair using a '91 part. I'd reach out to him regardless. I know he was 'inside' of his - best I recall he works remotely and maybe from time to time hard to get a hold of.
