I looked around for quite a while because I sure as hell did not want to spend $1500plus on what amounts to a $120 hood scoop added to a stock hood .
now I first found those hoods then thes hood scoops

I finally settled on the scoop on this site because it was only 1.5" taller than stock height and offered a ram air intake(look under hood scoop)

Here is another website that sells cowl bolt ons for the vette and are very reasonable. I have the L-88 fiberglassed on my 86.
