I hope some one can help me with the fuel pump wiring. I have a 92 LT1 and I'm trying to find the wire that is switched by the ECM to operate the fuel pump.
Grey wire runs from FP1 fuse to pump.
Red wire runs from oil pressure switch and fuel pump relay (30) to FP1 fuse.
Red wire at (87) of relay receives 12v from Fuel Pump fuse.
(86) Dark Green wire at relay comes from ecm D7 to turn on relay.
Black and White wire at relay (85) is ground. Fuel pump relay terminals are 87a 87,30,86,& 85.

Thanks for the explanation on the relay numbers, it really helps. These are the colors at my relay; Black & Orange at 87, Dark Brown & White at 87A, Black & Orange at 86, Black at 85 and 2 red at 30. I'm glad that I understand these relays, other wise that wiring would have got me confused.

you sound very knowledgeable....perhaps you can help me with my fuel pump wiring....on my 85 I can apply 12 volts to pin A on the relay to bypass everything...can't get the pump on...bench tested it, it's fine..I can get 12 volts at the fuse from pin A but if I restore the relay, no voltage at the fuse box....pump does not come on in either situation....
