Default AFR 190 question

Why does AFR say not to use a tapered spark plug? I assume they are talking about the short plugs like Accel makes. I would really like to use the short one, but what would be the consequences?

P.S. - the engine is in the car

I think what they are referring to is the seat (tapered seat or gasketed seat), where the plug seals to the head! [IMG][/IMG]

That has always been my thought, that they were referring to using plugs with the little crush gasket rather than those with a tapered seat.

Oooooooh, ok. So you mean that they want you to use plugs with the two little "washers" where the spark plugs seats to the head as opposed to a plug that just sits bare against the head. Outfreakinstanding.
