Took the car to get it dynoed last weekend. My best pull brought me about 254.2rwhp@276.8max torque. Does this sound right? I was hoping for more torque with this converter and this seemed a little low. My mods are listed in my sig. Nothing really done to the engine...just converter and gears. My Hp was what I expected but was a little dissapointed in torque. Am I wrong. Toward the end of the run my graph tended to flutter a little where most cars smoothy down slope on the graph after fuel cutt off. What could this be from? Any replys are much appreciated :seeya
With a B&B TriFlo exhaust, cut lid, K&N, MSD 6A, NGK Plugs, Taylor wires my '94 dynoed 253rwhp and 296tq. So you're right along the same area. Remember also that you have a little more loss through the auto than us manual tranny guys do. Torque convertors can have an odd impact on the #'s an auto car dynoes if you don't hit it just right.
Without seeing the chart,...I'd hate to speculate on what could be going on in the upper RPMS.
Those numbers are just about the same as mine were with my 92 Auto. (After Mods) Although, mine was running way too rich at the time. I need to run it again after the re-tuned chip.
Ok, here is the dyno chart. What I am concerned with is the way it jumps and dips toward the end. This cannot be normal. If anyone has a clue, let me know.
