95 vette intake question

95 vette intake question

I have a threaded hole in the intake that I can't account for. It's on a 95 LT1. Does it hold a sensor? If so, what sensor? Thanks guys.

It's the hole I'm pointing an extension at.

I believe that is the vacuum source for the vented optispark seen on 1995-1996 models.

That seems a little large for that vacuum source. Most I've seen for the optispark are on the driver's side of the intake. But thanks for the reply.

The conclusion: the port in question provides vacuum for the vented optispark. The early posts in that thread (the ones showing that same port providing manifold vacuum for the PCV system) that is either a 1996 LT1, an LT4, an F-body, or a mis-routed 1995 LT1.

I've certainly been wrong before, but I am pretty sure about this one. I have a 1995 LT1 myself.

After some research, I found that the hole is for a line that goes to the PCV valve. Thanks to DGXR for the link that answered my question.
