Default Tuning memcal for ecm on hsr intake

Ported the intake system and added a cam on the original 350 tpi. The details on everything was sent to tuner. Cost was around $100.
Now, engine is 383 with holley stealth ram. Checked on chip and was quoted over $500.
Can anyone recommend a generic chip for this or different solution?

Try scotthansen.net, he's very reasonable and can help you out whether you just want a mail order tune or you want to fine tune it with data logging.

Generic meaning what? Cheap? You want to play, you got to pay. For $500, tell him to shove it. For a hundred or two more, you probably would be able to get a dyno tune as opposed to "guess a tune" which is what he would be doing unless he data logs.
