replacing stock motor(1984) with a later model year small block stroker (roller motor one piece seal).

issue I understand is width of sump due to headers(hedman).

Motor is out of car.

I found one narrower but the sump is deeper by .50 inch

Any recommendations?

Most any “1piece seal” pan will fit these cars. I put a Blueprint brand 383 in a ‘91 and the pan it came with (stock replacement 5qt) fits fine with those headers. The drain plug points to the side instead of straight back but otherwise it looks the same, height & width etc.
