Default ground strap

1987 model. Found cut ground strap. Pretty sure its the one shown page 8A-201-1 fig. 8 of FSM labeled ground strap. Cant find a corresponding reference to terminal location. Can anyone tell me where it connects to? Appreciate your help.

Look at 8A-30-2 and you'll see it going from G101 to G104 & the component location will take you to 8A-201-1 & -2. I don't believe you'll have any difficulty sorting it. Frame rail below/in vicinity of battery tray to engine block vicinity of oil filter.

I redid all the grounds on my 1987 soon after I purchased it. I added 3 extra grounds to different locations and my lights, charging and everything seemed to improve..

My 84 has extra grounds also. Better too many than not enough.

Appreciate reference to FSM. Is there a method to go from 8A-201-1 fig 2B back to 8A-30-2 ? Does ref 12A C1, 2 in figure 2B have meaning?

Took me awhile to sort that. That's only an image reference for the publisher and GM engineering. Every image in the FSM will have a ref in the lower right corner.

A 'short cut' back to 8A-30-2 I'm not familiar with on all of the various digital FSM offerings.

Thanks again for the help. Lack of grounding connection may explain random glitches Ive been having. On to adding more grounds and original problems clutch slave and brake master cylinder replacement ..

The ground most responsible for issues inside the cockpit is G201.

Some year FSM don't have a component image in 8A-201. I believe '87 is one that doesn't so in this post is an image.
