I took a cutoff tool and removed the coolant passage on my 87. Had to for clearance on my miniram. If you just want the TB to not be heated just use a bypass hose.

Looks cool.
Zero performance advantage, but sometimes cool has nothing to do with performance.

I've seen several people post about corroded water passages in the throttle body. They were doing a bypass but the lower housing was so bad it couldn't be reused. Since that part is NLA, I could see a use for this in those situations.
