I can't tell you but maybe a suggestion would be to buy a FSM for your car so you can see how to take something out? If you don't know how to, it might be best you can find a factory approved way instead of someone who has done it 1000 times give you his shortcuts.

Not sure if this helps, but it's no different than any other cam change, other than taking the opti and the balancer off the engine. Also make sure you have the correct valve springs. I always like to put the engine at #6 TDC before I start and mark everything so it gets installed exactly the way it came apart. Get a grease pencil before starting. You can swing the condenser out of the way so you don't need to discharge the a/c system also.
I'm not sure if you need to lower the oil pan to get the timing chain cover off an LT1 engine. I'm sure others can chime in.

I used shbox plus FSM. Take it slow, label all parts and place in ziplock bags, and take a ton of photos, each step of the way. best of luck. keep us informed.
