In my 93 39LT1, I am still using a DELTQ ignition. I have spare parts, so, it will stay till it die.
But, I burned a wire on the headers, and didnt think much of it and threw new wires on I had laying around. They are solid core 10mm race wires. I think this is giving me a radio interference and slight surge on light loads during cruising. Is this possible that the wires are causing some issues with these two problems?
Dont remember ever having these issues before.
What wires would give me the best rfi reduction, if I need to replace?
I can cut and crimp my own wires.
Thanks in advance,
Oops, they are Taylor 409 spiral core... Supposedly they deal with RFI pretty darn good, according to Taylors site. For some reason I thought race wires were all solid and bad for radios etc.
I removed my delteq when I bought my 93 ruby and returned it to stock. It had new taylor wires on it. Removed it also because I thought it was causing a engine problem but was the wrong fuel injectors the guy had just put on it. Jon Banner from fic fixed that problem with the correct ones as '93 used two different ones.
Been wanting to sell the delteq I took off.

How much are you looking to get for it? Would you sell just the plug wires?
Would like to sell the whole unit. The wires are probably around 70 dollars or more as they have to be all made to size. Was asking $440 for the whole system. Would take 400 plus shipping.
