hardly ever pull the parking brake...florida is flat....pulled it the other day and the damned light will not go off on the dic....85 vette....any tips????

..... Make sure the handle is all the way down and push the thumb button .....

Run it thru a motion a few times make sure it's Down. Still on look under car, make sure the cable is loose and your not dragging. if all is good pop your seat off the frame to get at the Brake lever cover and give the switch a look. The Cam the cable wraps around in the released position should lift and open Switch(light Out) make sure your Cable is free, and is able to reach its released position. remember the Brake Ratchet is self Adjusting, as a awareness Note if were expecting slack.
