I got a factory service Manuel but can’t exaclty fine anything in there about this certain issue. The shifts from 1st to 2 Nd is relatively smooth but the shift form 2-3 takes for ever like it will stand at 3,000 rpm or mkre depending on how my gas u give it and 2 seconds later it will shift but after that 3-4 is fine. I don’t know transmissions so what do you guys think?
That depends on where you live and who you know. I could remove the transmission if I had to but I have never rebuilt an automatic so I paid for the whole job.
Here in Northern Virginia auto services are normally expensive. In rural America I am sure it is cheaper. If you have a relative at a Transmission shop you will save even more (Potentially, if they like you).
Have an automatic transmission expert look at it before you tear it out.
I had my 700-R4 overhauled and it was ~$1400. It really boils down to how much damage there is. Mine had just started to slip and the fluid was nasty at 90,000 miles. I chose a shop locally that removed it and overhauled my transmission and re-installed it. I was shown the insides of my transmission and explained to me just how it wore out while it was being worked on. The owners were very upfront and shared their knowledge and experience with Corvette automatics and their potential issues. The shop is still there in case I have any more problems.
Stay away from people selling rebuilt transmissions on the internet or EBAY. I am sure there are good experiences with ordered online transmissions but we have seen many bad experiences where the customer can't get satisfaction and ends up spending a lot more.
I hope that you can get your transmission working properly without breaking your bank.

Much like quitting smoking after the Dr. tells you you have lung cancer. Not likely to accomplish anything. If fluid was the problem, why does the OP not describe the problem elsewhere than 2-3 shift?

Is the transmission a 700-R4? Or is it different for my year?
A few cities a way there is a local shop selling rebuilt transmissions with a 1 year warrenty for 650$. What do you guys think?
Hey Guy ! Changing trans fluid to Amsoil SuperShift probably won't fix but it might ! It's a "cheap" fix that just might work ? Be really fun to hear you report back after so doing ? Drop the trans pan and clean, change filter, and use AMSOIL SUPERSHIFT !!!!! You might be surprised ! greg

Interesting you would recommend this fluid. Below is a direct quote from the Amsoil website.
Note: AMSOIL Super Shift Synthetic Racing Transmission Fluid is not recommended as a replacement for Ford MERCON*, GM* DEXRON or Chrysler* ATF+ type fluids in passenger vehicle and truck transmissions as it may cause erratic shift patterns, chattering or noise.

I have no idea how far you are from a major centre but my advice would be to do some research and try and find a shop that has some good feedback. If you are lucky, one will throw a gauge on and check your pressures and do a bit of diagnostic work and give you your options. Transmissions are more complex than an engine and can have many reasons for not operating properly. Unless you have the desire and ability to rework it yourself, you are at the mercy of the shop you are dealing with.

Hi Arbee !!! Regardless of what Amsoil says I have used 'SuperShift' in several of my cars as well as many 700R4's. Remember that fluids like Dexron have friction modifiers designed to enable slip for smoother shifts.
I aslo recommend 'SuperShift' for all Paxton ball drive owners (SN-etc.).
I also own a 98 Neon and run 'SuperShift' in it !!!!!!!!
So all I can say is I love 'SuperShift' - especially in older vehicles.
And in this case what's to lose - what if it does work? And if it doesn't he tears down a cleaner trans ....... greg

I somehow figured you would come back here and despite factual documentation even from the manufacturer of the product
and make a claim that your way is right way and nobody is going to tell you different. I have a sneaking suspicion that you were the prototype for the Kentucky mule. Carry on.
