Hi there I had a strange stalling out(1st time ever) and I havebeen hearing a vibration from my pump. If you touched it. you would feel it vibrating. After the stalling I tapped it and it restarted with no vibrating
so far. I think it was clogged up or something. I have a spare pump would this be plug and play or should I get the whole assembly. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fuel-Gas-Ta...53.m1438.l2649
Are there any tricks to making the cheaper unit work?
Thanks for tips.
Your picture is the sending unit not the fuel pump. The fuel pump is available as a separate part, it attaches to sender. You want to be sure to have new filter and "sock" filters. The pump can vibrate normally ....it an electric motor with an impeller. You need to test and verify no or low fuel pressure when engine quits
Once you place the pump on your sending unit and install it, you should really place a pressure gauge on the fuel rail to dettermine where your pressure is actaully at. A stall condition condition can be caused by several things which are related to your fuel system. Don't overlook the IAC and fuel pressure regulator. I agree that some pumps are noisy.
When you change the fuel pump and sock (in tank filter) change the external filter also. The system recirculates excess fuel thru the pressure regulator so any junk in the fuel can go round thru all the plumbing. Just inexpensive insurance.
Just wondering op, you said you "tapped" the fuel pump. Did you put a pipe or bar down into the tank through the filler tube to tap it? As you know, the pump is down into the tank.

Makes me think he whacked the top of the filler and got his results.
