Default odd oil situation

My 92 has been in the garage since I've had it,driven a few hundred miles. garage has heat (pellet stove when I start it) but its been cold. I start it every few days and no issues. Wednesday I started it and when I backed out of garage, there was oil running from somewhere and a puddle after I parked it. Havent fully diagnosed where its coming from but after wiping it off, only a couple drips now when I start it- probably from sitting in crevices. Over 1 month ago, the low oil light came on and dipstick showed low and I put a quart in. After all the oil on the ground ,the dipstick shows overfilled????? Engine runs fine. no lights, codes Any ideas? plan to change oil and filter. Engine is 383 high hp with supercharger Moroso race oil pan

Puecking oil is not good and I assume it's due to overfill in the oil pan. I think you need to calibrate your oil dipstick. Drain all the oil and change the filter then add only your capacity 5 or 6 or 7 or whatever it is capacity of oil. You can add to filter before starting if you want but make sure that amount counts as part of the total oil added. You need to start the motor for at least a minute the s/d and let it sit for an hour. Now you can mark your dipstick for FULL.

If your overfilled on oil it can be forced anywhere by the rotating assembly. Into the cylinder chambers? Out the crank seals? Up and out the dipstick tube?

Hope this can help.

Has a Moroso race oil pan, prior owner says 7-8 quarts but when I look it up it shows 5.5 plus filter. need to check dipstick as it appears ro be an original. I see Moroso has something that adjusts that but dont know if it was installed trying to find out now. Runs fine right now with no real drip but will change it thanks

Default oil

PO suggested looking at the oil return line from bottom of blower to the fitting on the oil pan. may have come loose will get onto a lift later today Still puzzling that dipstick still shows full or over though
