After reassembling almost everything, I noticed that there is this hole by the dist on the pass side that is not covered. It is not on my stock intake either. Does anybody know what it is and if I should plug it?
Hey DT,
On 86 and later cars, thats the EGR feed tube hole...my car has the EGR feed tube from the exhaust manifold to this intake hole to pass EGR gasses into the intake this way.
If youre not using the EGR plug this hole up.
Seems like your intake is for the late 86-91 manifold.
:)
Get a EGR tube gasket from your Chevy dealer and a blank off plate if you don't have the EGR function on the engine; I can't see if there is an EGR Valve under the plenum.
If you want to retain the EGR function get the EGR tube from your Chevy dealer.
