86 TPS adj?
I was going to replace the TPS on my 86 due to some idle problems but when I tried to adj it the lowest voltage I could get was about 3.45. the signal from the ecm is dead on at 5volts. I thought the tps should be at .5 volts with the throttle closed. What am I doing wrong or missing. Thanks for any help. Charlie M

With the ignition key on, the TPS on an 86 should be .54.

Idle fixed Old age?
Got my idle problems fixed. Hate to admit it but I think old age and stupidity were a major factor. My auto range DVM would go to mili volts when it would get below about .75 volts I didn't catch it for a few tries. Thanks for the input.
