I have a 93 that is completely stock. I want to increase the performance yet keep it as a daily driver. How far can I go? Your recommendations would be helpful.
You can go as far as you want. Mine is a daily driver. I mainly have just put in new gears and a torque converter. That has increased my acceleration dramatically. I havent put on and engine mods yet but am looking forward to a new cam and headers in the future. So far the most bang for my buck has been the gears. I went from 2.59's to 3.54's. Plenty of guys on here will give you good suggestions too but I should have done the gears along time ago. :seeya
I think that just about every supplier ( corvette central, eckler's etc.) offer a go fast kit, air foil, regulator, filter, chip, etc. this seems like a good place to start.

don't waste your money on any of those items, just do like Rad Polo and I did, gears and a torque converter, I went with a Vigilante 2800 stall converter and 3.45 gears.
Really your options are unlimited, while many people will say gears and a higher stall tourque converter will give you the most bang for the buck i don't really like it. I have never been in a vette with theses items but i have been in cars with higher stall converters. You might get neck snapping acceleration but it can be extremely annoying. The car won't really start to go until you reach that stall rpm. Perfect for drag racing but street i don't know. I plan on going the roller rockers and maybe a cam and heads route just to keep me busy this winter, i mean for a daily driver how much faster you want to go.
That's not true. With a lockup torque converter it is really not that noticeable unless you want it to be. It can all be controlled with your right foot. Most people would never know I've got a 3000 stall converter in normal driving unless I told them. If I lived in an are of steep hills it might be more apparent. I've driven the car in my sig through smoky Mountains National park and it is still barely noticeable. FWIW
Like i said i have never been in a vette with a higher stall converter and i will take your word for it that is barely noticeable, the only car i have been in with a higher stall converter is my friends heavily modded 440 GTX. The stall converter in that car can be annoying.
I would think that gears alone would help out a whole lot, i mean 2.59 or whatever it is, even 3.07 would be a noticeable upgrade that would not hurt economy or driveability that bad at all.
on that lt1 i would upgrade the gear to a 3:54 and if its a auto get a higher stall between 2600- 3500 rpm from yank, precision or pro torque just to mention a few
