Automatic transmission is FINALLY fixed
I posted some time ago about having automatic transmission problems. The thing would stick in high gear after warming up considerably. Symptopms prior to this were late downshifts into first while stopping and failure to shift into second properly for passing gear at low speeds.
The transmission place finally replaced the valve body (free of charge, I owe them a ham or turkey or something :yesnod: ), which was apparently gummed up with junk and would stick when the car got warm. The new valve body is working just fine, and my car has been working great now that I've finally got that fixed. Second gear at 40? Nah, not a problem any more :jester
I'd never heard of a car having such a problem before this, nor have I seen anyone on here with similar troubles. Heck, the transmission repair shop didn't know what to do with it for a long time. Just in case, if any of you with an automatic ever have such a thing start happening, keep the valve body in mind and see if that isn't at least part of the problem.
