Default Help getting started with Tuner Pro RT

92 LT1 stock configuration
I really just want to be able to read and record data for now.
Car is running OK so I wan to record some baseline data to compare to in the future.

I have PC with tunerpro RT installed
I have an ALDL to USB cable and have the driver installed
Cable is showing as Com7
I downloaded the DA2.xdf file and the DA2.ads file
Used the import to convert DA2.ads to a .adx file (named DA2.adx)

When I start Tuner Pro I get a message "failed to open bin file"
I went looking for a bin file but don't know which one to use. gearhead had around 6 in a folder named 16159278 but the file names are cryptic.

So where do I go from here?

TunerPro does two things: PROM editing and data acquisition. The "Failed to open bin file" was for the PROM editing portion. You don't need a bin file or the xdf file for data acquisition, just the adx file. Stick with the "Acquisition" Menu bar and the options there. Make sure to go to "Tools", "preferences", "data acq" tab, and select the correct COM port there. There is also an icon that looks like two opposing arrows; click that to start communication. Many of the menu bar items also have icons. Spend some time mousing over the icons to see what their description is. Good luck!

Ok I got it running. Built a simple dashboard and can see data coming across

Now I have some other questions.
I was getting a constant connect disconnect so I tried an ADX file from this thread
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...lt1-stock.html

That solved the connection problem.

So question 1 The Service ASR and Service ABS are on whenever I'm connected. Clears when I turn off the car off, disconnect and restart. My MR2 does the same thing when I have an OBD II tester connected. Is this normal?

Question 2 If I connect the cable and then turn the key to on, the fuel pump runs constantly, normal?

Question 3 The digital gauge readings in the instrument cluster are frozen while connected. Normal?
