Seems nonsensical to me. All the oil and "sludge" pumped out sounds good, but when fresh oil is put back in, it'll be dirty in minutes, too. Just looking at oil is relatively meaningless as its job is to clean the engine as well as lubricate and cool it. Regular oil changes with quality oil do a great job in keeping engines in shape.

First GM has published information against flushing and specificity engine failures as a result would not be covered under warranty.
Under most cases there is no reason to have this done. If there's is intermixing of oil and coolant or other types of contamination. On a barnfind possibly, essentially just to get sludge and varnish out prior to trying to bring engine back in service. The chemical is pumped by the machine throughout the oil system. Oil enters engine at oil filter housing exit passage washing out 99% of the old oil and small particles are caught by filter. One problem is the process washes the oil off the bearings and can cause failure as a result.
You didn't notice how much lighter your wallet is? Thanks for the report/update, I guess. I can't believe you went though with this.
I knew it won't be much difference from the beginning (maybe few HP).
The day before I made the cleaning, There was a Mazda 3 that it engine was saved. there were knocks and about 3 garages suggested to replace the engine.
Anyway the cleaning saved the engine. it took off lots of chips and rubber.
The engine runs smoothly.
If'n you're that worried, add 1/2 Qt of Transmission fluid to your oil then drive for 500 miles, then drain and change filter. will do the same thing. Thr trans fluid while an oil, is loaded with detergents, and it will keep the crap in suspension.
Flushing used with a repair may prevent future damage. Intake or head gaskets flushing the debris generated from repair. Barn find the hot fluid pumped through the lube circuits clearing the thickened oil. You may still want to prime oil system before starting. The materials caught in the filter/cup had to come from somewhere. If sludge and crud were the only reason a neglected engine had oil pressure at all. After cleaning the crud out it knocks with low oil pressure.
