Default Few Pics From CamSwap

changing cam in my 93. lots of fun so far getting the dampener and hub off, but $14 Harbor Freight puller got r done. so as of now old cam out , new one in. found bad bearing in water pump so gotta get a new one. also removed cap from Opti to find one rotor screw had fallen out and was laying in there and the other ready to fall out. guess I was very lucky as right before I pulled apart I had car on dyno to get pre cam numbers. amazed it not only ran but ran tip top. 278whp for stock LT1. next need to pull passenger cat to get oil pan off to swap that gasket, swap valve springs then measure and order pushrods. hoping for 330 Rwhp.

Cam specs?

Impressive you you were able to get the hub off with a HF puller, not an easy job without the recommended Kent Moore tool. its lots of work but worth the benefit in the end!

Looks like a healthy cam. Good thing the inside of the motor is cleaner than the outside. Looking forward to hear the results.

From what I understand Atco is a fast, well prepped track. A lot of friends run really well there. I always wanted to run E-town (considering its 10 minutes away) but they pulled the plug on me before I got the car ready... Atco is about an hour but it is also near where I go to school. I just don't have the car at school so that never works out.

That being said you still need to be good to pull that off. Those are damn good numbers.

I hear that. outside is messy. Intake gasket AKA permatex has obviously been leaking a while. should be a bit cleaner after it goes back together. I am extremely pleased with how clean and unworn looking the internals are. 70K Mi.
