Getting my C4 back from the shop
After doing a 383 stroker rebuild, he ran it on his dyno. As you can see from the graph below, it's making 415 RWHP and 417 lb-ft torque. That's with the original LT1 block, intake, and cylinder heads, all machined.
Actually, it was in the shop to get a new water pump and heater core. Paul, SloRvette, is my mechanic, near Boston. He did the stroker rebuild 8 years ago. 35,000 miles later, she still runs as strong as the day he rebuilt it.

Yeah, it does. My best timeslip has a 1.54 60-foot time and a 11.55 quarter.

The mileage, of course, sucks. Generally I get about 15-17 mpg. HOWEVER, the 'smileage', or smiles per mile, is exceptional, running about 30-35 spm.

His shop is in Billerica, just off Rt. 3. He works primarily on Vettes - repairs, restoration, and racing engine builds.

Yeah I realized a short time after my post that you were running a 2800 stall and a 3.33 gear. So there's that ...

We don’t build hot rods to maximize fuel economy!
Mine gets anywhere from 13 to 16 mpg...depending on driving style!
Don’t care!
I run 3.73 gears, AFR Heads, ZZ9 cam.
When I need 25 mpg I drive my new Ford Taurus!

In post #3 he said it was a daily driver, so it seems like a fair question.

If you put down 415 rwhp you can't be concerned with mpg.
