Default LT1 Battery Switch

I have a '94 manual car, and I am trying to connect a 4430, 6 pole battery cutoff switch. I need to know which wire is the main ignition wire from the key switch. If I wedge my head between the pedals, I count more than 25 wires coming out of the steering column. I'm guessing one of the pink ones is correct, but I hope someone who actually knows can identify the correct ignition wire. Thanks

Do you have the FSM - Factory Service Manual for your car? You should be able to accomplish everything 'under the hood' I'd think.

Yes, that is what led me to suspect a pink wire. I'm hoping for a "been there, done that" confirmation.

Not sure what you are trying to do. Theft deterrent or battery rundown. Master disconnect under the hood would be simple for battery rundown. The ignition switch is located on top of column along with its connectors. View is obstructed unless column is lowered. Most of the wires you are seeing are probably turn signal, wiper, vats cylinder switches. They are routed down the bottom of column and are most visible.

This is an SCCA Master cut off switch. It disconnects the battery, alternator, and ignition. The ignition wire from the key switch must make its way out of the steering column to the engine. I just don't know how to intercept it.

Go way from the column ignition switch. Mount the master switch on the dash. Use a rocker switch panel for run, fans ,ignition, pumps, etc use a push button start. You want the ignition rocker beside the starter push button. If engine won't turn over fast enough to start with ignition off press start button engine should turn over faster the flip ignition on and engine may start. Not sure what the rules are with master a 2 pole switch between battery and dash switch panel. Wiring diagrams are necessary. Shrek had a dash panel for a c4 track car for sale a while back. You could try to pm him to see if it's available. Autocross forum may provide more insite or possibly member is nearby to help you. I did oval and drag cars. I didn't use factory wiring made up my own harnesses for what I needed.

That is one way to do it. Now I have the full factory dash and console with the cut off switch mounted in the air co outlet, top center of the dash. All I need is to tap into the main ignition wire, whichever it is.
