89 Convertable
what is suggested for the proper spark plug wires ?
car just started running a little off, I know it could be several things but going to start with the wires
Thanks
I have MSD "Super-Conductor" wires on my 1988 L-98 and have had great success with them over the past twenty some years with this car. I replaced them once after fifteen years of service in my 1988 C4, not one leaky wire after all that time. I went out at night and started her up with the hood open and no sparks anywhere. I also have the MSD wires on my 427 in my 1968 Convertible. You might say that I really like the MSD products that I have used and see no reason to change.
If your car is not acting quite right you might want to try dumping a can of BG 44K Fuel system cleaner. That materiel makes my engine idle smoother in less than one tank full. There are other brands but again I have a lot of past experience with BG products. BG 44 costs about $21 a can (Amazon with funnel) and it is worth it. There are some who call it "Snake Oil" but this is one product that I firmly believe in. Try it when you can and I believe that you will be surprised how much it really can do for your car.
Good Luck in getting your car running smoothly again!

Spark plugs- are they dirty or gapped
Fuel- Did you switch brands or lower the octane
Plugs- yes you need to inspect
Cap and rotor. Pop those off and check how clean
Check your Throttle position sensor
Is your Throttle body clean? PCV and ERG all happy?
Check your coolant sensor
You did not mention codes, so your computer still thinks that your engine is in normal "range" so it is probably something small.
As mentioned above throw a can of fuel cleaner in the tank. Yes, some will argue but you might have an injector that gets occasionally wonky.
