Code 32 on 91 6 speed
The conditions to turn on the light and set code 32 don't always happen in normal driving. On mine the only time I would get the light is after about 10 or 15 miles of cruise on the highway. Normal in town driving did not meet the conditions to set the light.
On mine it was the EGR valve. I tried the local auto parts store and got a bad one (wouldn't work with vacuum applied). I returned it and got another bad one. I returned it and got the wrong part in the right box. I ordered an AC Delco and it was ok.
I think the conditions to set the code 32 are:
-coolant temperature greater than 176
-EGR cycle commanded by ECM is greater than 75%
-TPS less than half throttle but not at idle
-Codes 21, 21, 33, 34 not present
-All conditions above must be present for 4 minutes
So with those conditions, the code doesn't set all the time.
Good luck.

EGR functions at part throttle cruising when the engine is hot, so you'll most often get the 32 on the highway.
You can replace the valve or the sensor, one of which is usually the culprit, or you can ignore it, its not hurting the engine.
