4+3 Rebuild Question>>

My Father-in-law has an 84 with the 4+3 and the gear oil from the 4spd is leaking into the OD unit. I know there are only a couple places recommended to rebuild these units..

But I forgot who they are.. anyone have that info?

I had to send mine to new york , i can't remember the name of the outfit that did it, but maybe this may give you a place to start looking, sorry man, its the best i can do :cheers:

I believe that CF member David Fulcher also does rebuilds of the 4+3. I've always found his posts to be reliable and at the level of a Master Mechanic for Corvettes. When mine need rebuilding I'm going to check with him first.

Dave Fulcher does an excellent job on the 4+3. There is a good chance that unit that went to NY, went to Dave to get done.

The 4sp gear box is leaking into the OD unit????? How did you come to this conclusion? The OD unit is under pressure. The gear box is an oil bath setup.

I didn't come to that conclusion.. My Father-in-law did. This has been on going for 2 years.. he checks the fluid once a month and the OD is always filling up past full.. So he is pretty sure the oil from the 4spd is going in there.
