You can use Tunerpro and a moates ostrich emulator, plug it into the ECM chip slot and add the supplied chip to the cable. Then you can do changes with a laptop quick and easy.
Note it is a steep learning curve to master this, always have a backup ecm chip if you stuff things up. You WILL NEED IT
See links below, you will need to download files for your year C4.

I have done a large amount of Engine Management tuning and programming just not to a system this old. I had not found much in the way of programming and I was considering putting my extra Hal-Tech ECU system into the car which would have been a huge overkill in terms of capabilities. All to reprogram a few system limits on sensors so I would not have the SES light on in the systems and on my dashboard.
I learned the hard way when I first started tuning that a back-up is better than anything else you have done to the machine. nothing like messing up a tune and not having a previous version of the data to reload and having to start all of the work over again. Plus I am not planning on tinkering with the fuel injection or major items until further down the road I am just looking to clean-up some emissions and additional functions of the ECM to keep the codes from being active in the system.
Thanks!
