Need to upgrade to Windows scanning software.

Sorry no demo. Ease does have a web page where you can download the actual scan tool on-line manual and preview the entire workings from that perspective. The help/preview file is available at: http://www.obd2.com/personal/personal_preview.htm
They also have some on-line slide shows to demonstrate the scan tool screens and use. See the 8 slide shows available at: http://www.obd2.com/slide_per/index.htm
I have screen captures and an HTML write-up I did myself using my own 88 Z51 Vette. The screen captures are from scans taken when diagnosing a rich fuel mixture problem I had before replacing the injectors. Send me an email directly and I'll reply back with a self extracting file containing the review and screen captures.
Bluevette85,
I believe that you could use an AKM cable to attach from the Ease interface box to the ALDL, but you would still need the software and an interface box. Ease only sells interface boxes to registered owners with a new tool, or to replace defective/broken ones shipped back.
If you did buy an OBD1 scan tool you could get the OBD2 cable option and use your AKM OBD1 cable too. That way you could scan the 95s that have an OBD2 connector as well as the OBD1 vehicles with OBD1 connectors. Or you might be able to get a credit for not needing an OBD1 cable. You would want to be sure the AKM cable would work with the Ease scan tool you are interested in. You can contact Ease Tech Support with the pinout of your AKM cable and they can verify whether the AKM cable will work or not. Email technical questions to: techsupport@obd2.com
Feel free to email me questions directly or leave posts here for all to share.

any discount for buying OBD1 and a OBDII set up at the same time?
I have a 90' ZR-1 and my wife has a 98 Grand Prix GTP.
thanks
-Bill

Sure. If you were to buy the GM Personal OBD1 and OBD2 tools at the same time, I can get you at least 12% off on both. The OBD1 is $315 and the OBD2 is $350. Combined to would be $665 - 79.80 = $585.20.
If that is too much to spend at one time, I had a previous CF member buy the OBD1 tool with the 10% rebate a good while back and he ordered the OBD2 version a month or so ago. He got a 12% rebate on the 2nd tool order for being a repeat customer.
I may have a used GM OBD1 scan tool for sale here pretty soon. The cables and interface are used (look new), but the software will be the latest OBD1 update version furnished from Ease. It will go for less than new with a rebate. Don't have any used OBD2 tools yet.
Send me an email directly at Mike_88Z51@yahoo.com if you are interested in ordering through me. I take PayPal or personal checks.
