Weird phenom

In my led display right next to where the fuel level is displayed, every 1.5 minutes she screen flashes these three letters " SYS ".
What is that. Fresh from the shop with no stored codes.
What say ye?

Brand new Interstate "Optima equivelent" one week old This battery could make the starter literally power the car down the road!

Looks like this is common when anything BUT the stock stereo system is used. Mine is dead so some idiot installed an aftermarket one.

Are any other lights coming on/flashing?

I have a similar issue where sys flashes in sync with the security light (bottom left of the dash) and the ASR Service light comes on. Apparently it points to some common cold solder issues in the ECU.
