what tells the engine fan to come on?
Ik the ac fan is on my left and ik both fans work in general cuz i used the command plug in thing under your dash to make them come on but it seems my temp will peg out if i let it while it idles idk if the fan is coming on when its this hot so the only thing to check is what makes the fan come on when it hits 238

Are you going off the analog or digital temp gauge? They turn at 226(left) and 236 or 238(right)
But when the left fan turns on, my car will go from 226 to 215 and it shuts the fan off.

The year also makes a difference. Newer C4's have fans that are low speed and high speed.

Lack of year and profile makes answering more difficult. Improve both and you will get better answers.
