Default TKO600 Tailshaft to C-Beam Mount

I am in need of the tailshaft to c-beam mount/bracket for my TKO600. If you know where I can purchase one or the part number that would be great. I have found a picture of the one I need (the black part in the picture) but I think the company that made it is out of business now. The car is an '84 and I have cracked the mount. I guess if I can't find one I will just weld it back together but I would rather find a new one.

Thanks,

Krusty84

I bought my Tremec TKO600 kit from Silver Sport Transmissions for my '84. They may be able to help you with the mount.

I am going to give them a call Tuesday as they don't have the part specifically listed. I have seen some photos of it and it appears to be a nicer piece that what I have. Hopefully if they sell it individually, they won't charge an arm and a leg for it. I found out my piece is from Hurst Driveline Conversions which has since been dissolved and liquidated. I plan on welding my part back up either way now. If I find a new part I will have a backup.

Thanks for the reply,

Good to know. I originally was looking to buy my kit from Hurst but they kept jerking me around about what they had in stock. I didn't want to wait 30 days and found Silver Sport. They have great customer service.

I called this morning and ordered the part from Silver Sport Transmissions. It is a little pricey at $323.99 but I think it will be worth it. Thanks for the replies.

Hey Pezter22,

Does your mount bolt directly to the bottom of the trans like the one in the first post or is there a rubber mount or pad mount in between? The adapter came in today but it appears that I am either missing a part or maybe my TKO is older and the newer TKOs have a wider bolt pattern for the two vertical bolts that go into the tailshaft.

Thanks,

Krusty

I have the same Silver Sport TKO600 kit in mine.
Didn't take a lot of pictures doing it ... but maybe these will help?

Looks like Silver Sport uses the Ford transmission or Ford tailshaft for their swaps. Right there on the schematic is my problem. My mounting pad bolt holes are 3.75" apart (GM) and the Silver Sport adapter has a 5.5" (Ford) spread. Looks like I will be carefully measuring and putting the adapter on the drill press and put some new holes in her. Maybe the SBCs need the shorter input shaft on a C4? I have a LQ9, I know when I ordered by hydraulic throwout bearing, Tilton told me the SBCs and BBCs had .400" less clearance.

Sorry, I don't have pictures of the tailshaft. I hope you can adapt your mount.
