That depends on if the L98 valve covers have drip tabs or not.
You might already know this, but the rocker ratio doesn't have much to do with it. If brand X 1.5 rockers will clear the covers than brand x 1.6's will also clear. If 1.5's clear and 1.6's don't on the same brand then you are running some pretty tight tolerances on the 1.5's, something you would want to correct anyway.

I believe your '90 L98 has the same valve covers as my '88; I had to trim the drip tabs and narrow the center bolt posts to clear the 1.6:1 ProMagnums.
