I have made several TPIS modification to my CORVETTE, however the car does not idle right. The idle is fast then so slow that it wants to die, however under load, if runs fine. I had the timing set correctly since I replaced the manifold with the Mini Ram, but my repair shop is stating I need to replace my ECM. I found the link below & wonder would that work for my needs , has anyone have tried this out or do you suggest something else? Any assistance will be greatly helpful. https://www.zip-corvette.com/85-89-programmable-ecm.html
The mods I have made: MINI RAM Headers 89 Aluminum heads A/C delete Air Pump delete 276/286 Hyd. Why replace the ECM if it is running right? How did you determine that the ECM needs replacement? Maybe the tune in the ECM is wrong for the setup? If so, get a dyno tune and while they are doing that, have them tune the off WOT areas.
