Question guys and gals.... Please review pictures for example. The left side of my hood is about 1/8th to 1/4 inch too high. I believe the solution is too screw the left hood spring in about that same distance and adjust the rubber stopper to match, but I can't get the shaft of the hood spring to turn and I don't want to force it. Is it just seized, is this the right path to correct this adjustment?
Lower the rear hood stops will lower the hood, but you will need to raise the latch striker pin on the hood. Otherwise the hood will not shut tight and rattle and vibrate. You can adjust the pin up by loosening the big nut at the top and screwing the pin in with a big screwdriver!! Make small adjustments on the pin, too loose and the hood will rattle, too tight and it could be difficult to open...probably not a bad idea to mark the current position before making adjustments. And yes sometimes those big nuts can be very stubborn...try some penetrating oil to help.
