The air blows cold for 20 to 30 minutes and then slowly reduces to slightly cool. Compressor turns off.
Checked freon and no leaks
replaced control panel in dash board
replaced control programer control module
replaced both high and low pressure sensors on coolant lines
replaced the blower control module (blows harder now)
Still the same issue.
Something is causing the compressor to turn off.
Someone said the ecm might need to be reprogramed???
is there anything that would turn the compressor off other than lack of power to the compressor??? The compressor its self ???
Call me please if you know what the answer is. Thanks in advance 843 504 2785 Harry Stegall North Myrtle Beach SC
Electronic i have no way to check the pressure.
BUT today i started checking power. the low side had 14 volts coming to it. same as high side and compressor. When it stopped there was power going to the low side when unpluged but not when plugged back to the pressure switch
I skinned the wires (2) when pluged to the switch no power. Screwed out the pressure switch checked the voltage on the skinned wires when connected to the pressure switch there was voltage How can voltage disappear pressure switch??? I replaced the switch but with a used one.
I was reading about an O ring in the pressure switch. Th old one didnt have an O ring and the used one didnt come with one. I know it has a purpose. Could this be my issue??? Im ordering a new one
Nope Checked pressure switch from what I saw on youtube seems ok saw 0 ring on valve so that s not it. something is causing the system to get hot and break down. I do know there is no power going to compressor when it stops. I believe if the compressor was bad or the clutch was bad there would still be power. Right???

I have the same issue on my 92 goes warm for a minute then back to cold..
Harry, take off your low pressure switch, turn the car to run and use a jumper wire to connect both sides of the plug. You should hear your compressor click, confirming that it is good.
If you compressor clicks it means that your system is most likely low on freon. Run the climate control diagnostic and see if you pull any codes.
My guess is that you are low on freon- but just barely. When your engine is cold the residual freon blows cold. As you drive and your system heats up your condenser, it would be able to cool off the freon hence the rising temperature.
Finally figured it out with help from someone on here. The evaporator coil was so clogged, Hadnt been cleaned ever. Followed instructions used brake cleaner, Blows great now. Here is the deal, the control regulator on the back side of the evaporator coil wouldnt allow the fan to blow on high because of the clogged coil. cleaned it up and works great.
