Default Tips for Replacing 1990 Bushings?

My car is pretty squeaky, so I'm taking on the task of replacing all the suspension bushings, possibly save a few that I've read are prohibitively hard to get to. I've done some research and read a few guides on replacing the bushings/disassembling the suspension, and I've read through pertinent procedures in the FSM, but I still don't feel confident enough to mess around with those huge transverse springs.

Do you guys have any warnings, tips, or suggestions for the process? If it's pertinent, I have FX3/FE7/Z51 packages.

Once I unload the spring (by jacking under its metal portion, removing the nut, and slowly letting down the jack) can I just start yanking components off and changing the bushings? Also, how do you guys put it on jackstands in the rear? On the passenger side, I can use the floor jack under the jack point along the side, then put a stand under the subframe section just in front of the rear tire. However, the driver's side body panel is lower than the pinch weld, so jacking there would really tweak the body panel. Can I just lift the whole rear end by jacking under the diff?

Thanks in advance.

Did a bunch of suspension upgrades last year. Used the Gadgetman adapter to lift the rear by the diff and supported the car on jackstands. There are a number of pinch welds that come together in one spot ahead of the rear tires (can see the stand in the one picture). I made some blocks to handle the jackstands and slid them into place between the jackstand and the car. I would not disconnect one side of the spring without having both wheels off the ground, On disconnecting the spring I used a floor jack and carefully lifted it to take tension off the bolt to remove it them carefully lowered it. I had a block that fit in the cup of the jack that caught the end of the metal clip on the spring by the bolt. You need to be careful as the block can slip or twist if you're not careful.

Got it jacked and the spring unhooked, thanks for the tips and pictures! I need to get one of those jack adapters.
