Default Service Ride Control

I have a 94 convertible and I've started getting this message. Does this indicate a problem with the adjustable ride control system ? What's the best way to trouble shoot it ? Any recommendations for replacment shocks ? The car has 65k miles.

You need to pull the codes. There are several things it could be from the controller to an actuator. My car has a cracked gear that ate up an actuator so I need to replace both. The code pointed me in the right direction.

Sp0t on. You will need to pull the codes and start there. Usually its shocks or actuators. Sometimes as simple as tightening a nut or backing it off a half turn. If you have the factory service manual, good pictures on proper setup for actuator. Its the codes.

Thanks for the responses. I'll check the codes this weekend. Do you recommend the Hayes manual or GMs ?

If you get the GM manual you need to get all the books. FOr 90 It was Main, Electrical supplement (which has all the FX3), LT5 Supplement and the error correction book.

I'll send you a list of all the codes tonight.
