Sorry to ask what should probably be an obvious question - But which is better and by how much?
The 58X obviously has higher resolution, but what does the mean in quantifiable terms?
I have the 24X which still allows mechanical throttle - the 58X requires electronic throttle which I absolutely did not want. I'm sure the 58X has a few advantages but the throttle issues was a showstopper for me.

Higher resolution improves tunability (or complicates it... depends on your perspective!).
Cylinder Event diagnostics are also greatly improved with the 58X computer. You can go straight to the cylinder with the problem.
I have the 24X, Mechanical TB as well. If I were to do it over again, and was willing to purchase a new intake and TB, I would probably step up to the 58X. I recently built a 383 with the Edelbrock Pro Flo and put the 24X system together for a friend. That experience, combined with the knowledge of 58X tuning I've recently gained with my truck, I would go for it if I were doing it over, but I already had a miniram and didn't want to add in the cost of the new intake, fuel rails, regulator, TB, Tac Module...
