Default hesitation

i just got an 85 corvette as part of a trade and it has a slight hesitation problem. when you step on the gas it hesitates then takes off like there is a dead spot on the tp. i have changed the tp sensor and adjusted it but the problem stiil there .if i adjust the tv cable out a little bit it goes away but trans shifts to soon. the only thing i see that is not stock is the injectors have a green stripe and mybe an aftermarket chip but not sure . also if i advance the timing most of the hesitation goes away but ihave to mush predetonation. any help would be greatly appreciated

Adjust the TPS base voltage up to .65Vdc and get the WOT reading as high as possible. Then adjust base timing till no knock counts.

To set the TV cable move the cable tip toward the firewall a little, release the tang and press the accelerator hard to the floor. Thereafter you can move the TV cable head a notch or two either way to tweak the part throttle shifts.
